Kolsa & Ballarshah Territorial — The Wild Link
Some forests are remembered for their landscapes; others for the tigers that define them. For this region of the Kolsa Buffer range, Junior Mowgli has been a dominant male for three years now. Born to Jharni Female and Mowgli Male in the forests of Alizanza, Ramdegi, and Navegaon, Junior Mowgli grew up to become one of the most recognised tigers of Tadoba's buffer zones — huge in size yet surprisingly calm in nature. But life in the jungle is always changing. A new challenger has entered the picture — the mighty Mama Male. Powerful, massive, and equally impressive, Mama Male has started moving through these forests, creating one of the most exciting territorial stories in Tadoba today. The Karwa–Ballarshah range, opened for tourism in 2023, is a wonderful example of how conservation has helped wildlife thrive. In a short time it has become famous for Erina Female, Rani Female, Shrivalli Female, and the dominant Kala Male. The Lohara Territorial Zone, opened in 2026, is one of the newest and most exciting additions to Tadoba's safari landscape. Its forests flow seamlessly into the Lohara and Mamla buffers of the Moharli landscape. Lohara quickly attracted attention because of the powerful Rambo Male and the beautiful Waghdari — both believed to come from the bloodline of matriarch Madhuri Female and Khali Male. The well-known Raka Male and the famous W Female are also occasionally seen scent-marking parts of this zone, reminding everyone how dynamic and constantly changing tiger territories can be. For anyone looking to experience Tadoba beyond the usual routes, this journey offers a raw, evolving, and incredibly exciting glimpse into the lives of Tadoba's tigers.
